Cuffern Manor was built as the home of the Stokes family in about 1770. Admiral John Lort Stokes was just 19 when he shared Darwin\'s cabin on the Beagle voyage and later captained the ship himself in Australia and New Zealand. The Stokes family lived here until the 1920\'s. There are three and a half acres with a walled garden being lovingly restored, which provides or fresh organic fruit for breakfasts most of the year. We aim for 100% organic, local and fair trade products and our breakfasts were awarded a final place in the Pembrokeshire Breakfast of the Year Awards in 2009 and also Best Use of Local Produce in 2006. We are well known for our accoustic music events, embroidery days ,welsh food experience evenings in the summer months and other events. |
