The emphasis here is on comfort and good food. All produce is sourced locally as far as possible, including fresh free-range eggs from just along the road and delicious bacon and home-made sausages from our own village butcher.We make our own preserves, and often our own bread, too. We guarantee you will not leave our table hungry! |

Braemar is ideally situated for exploring the magnificent Cairngorm mountains, whether on foot, by mountain bike, or by car. We are the most central village in the Cairngorms National Park, and are surrounded by some of the grandest and most beautiful scenery in Britain. Sports enthusiasts are well catered for, with the largest ski centre in Scotland just a few miles away, and the highest 18-hole golf course in Britain right here at the village. There are many tracks and paths in the area ideal for mountain-biking and hiking, as well as numerous opportunities for rock-climbing.
If a more leisurely lifestyle is for you, we have several well-known castles and other attractions in the area, including probably the most famous of all, Balmoral, holiday home of H.M. Queen Elizabeth, just 8 miles away. Here, also, you can go pony-trekking on the Queen's ponies during the summer months; now there is something to write home about! |

Our twin room is also available as a triple room, as there is a third bed in the room (this is not a fold-up or camp bed, it is a full-size single bed with sprung mattress). When let as a triple, the room rate is GBP75.00 |
