Owls Nest
Wing of stone barn conversion sleeping 2/4 + provides further self- catering / bed and breakfast accommodation, which is arranged on three floors, is comfortably furnished and well equipped throughout. Two bedrooms - first floor double with beams, leaded light windows and delightful views, and twin bedded attic room (access via steep wooden staircase) on the second floor, with sloping ceilings, 5 ft height clearance in apex. Beamed first floor bathroom/wc with electric shower and sloping ceilings. Cosy living/dining room with colour TV and DVD player. Kitchenette area off with electric cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer, automatic washing machine and tumble dryer. Open plan stairs to first floor. Outside the property is a sheltered suntrap sitting out area with garden furniture and barbecue provided. Off road private parking available in front of main house (75 yds distant) unloading permitted close to property.
Richmond Villa sunken garden patio area is available for a barbeque and relaxation, where we can serve you traditional Devonshire cream teas.
Transport is available from Barnstaple train station on request £15 transfer each way.
National Express bus station is 2 miles away at Westward Ho!

Local facilities and attractions: Peaceful location, just a pleasant approx 10 minute level walk brings you to the local pub and a five minute drive to the fishing village of Appledore with its pubs, restaurants, ferry in season to Instow and quayside shops. Westward Ho!, with its wide sandy beach, Royal North Devon golf course and entertainments, is also a short distance beyond The area is excellent for cycling, surfing walking holidays with near by outdoor activity centres. You can also explore Exmoor National Park; safe, sandy, Blue flag beaches. The estuary and river Torridge with Tarka trail named and featured in Henry Williamsons Tarka the Otter; and Lundy Island, a haven of wild life and Britains first Marine Nature Reserve. |
