Bed and Breakfast Accommodation in Blackpool
|
The North West of England offers a number of famous seaside getaways for the British holidaymaker, but perhaps none is more famous and popular in this region of the country than the town of Blackpool, situated on the coast of Lancashire.
The town and its beach has a rich history of providing homely thrills and spills to the British day tripper and bed and breakfast lover alike for many decades now, and one thing you can be guaranteed is a wealth of things to do, places to eat and drink and of course, plentiful friendly B + B accommodation. A good time to enjoy Blackpool can actually be found later in the holiday season when the town’s famous illuminations are in season (late August to early November).
When Blackpool’s beautiful lights are in full glow along the seafront and amongst the towering fairground rides, it is really quite a spectacle, with this years “festival of light” promising to be one event in Blackpool you can’t afford to miss. If you would prefer to visit Blackpool in the summer months, be prepared for a day of exciting and fast family fun down at the pleasure beach theme park - famous for its huge rollercoaster, known quite ominously as “The Big One.” Blackpool tower is of course another local attraction which continues to draw thousands of visitors to the area. Built around the end of the nineteenth century, this impressive structure of engineering modelled on Paris’ Eiffel tower continues to represent the ongoing iconic postcard image of the Blackpool seafront the British public all know and love.
If that wasn’t enough, Blackpool has not 1, not 2, but 3 fantastic piers - tracing back to Queen Victoria’s reign - for you to go and enjoy! Today, Blackpool is undoubtedly also a major party town when night falls on any day of the week - but particularly at weekends, with literally hundreds of pubs, bars, nightclubs and restraunts for the more outgoing visitors to explore - including the large Syndicate night club.
Bed and breakfast accommodation is also broadly available throughout the whole of Blackpool, stretching along the seafront back to nearer the town centre, with different B + Bs catering for the concerns of various clientele from the more raucous stag do to the more serene surrounding of the family accommodation offered by many bed and breakfasts and hotels in the area. |
