Bed and Breakfast Accommodation in Portrush
|
If you are looking to take a holiday or short break in Northern Ireland and don’t fancy dealing with all the hustle and bustle of Dublin, why not try something a little different and book yourself a B + B trip in Portrush? Located on the north coast of Northern Ireland, this picturesque peninsula is an increasingly popular location, seemingly offering something for UK holidaymakers of all ages who are seeking a unique taste of the region’s spectacular scenery, nightlife, traditions and culture.
Portrush is widely regarded as an excellent location to enjoy a number of popular sports and other outdoor activities such as camping, fishing, surfing and golf. Anglers can enjoy an excellent fishing experience with deep sea wreck fishing boat trips into the Atlantic on offer from in and around Portrush for species such as Conger Eel. For those fishermen yet to gain their sea legs, you can alternatively try casting off your hook and line from the rocky shores.
The town and surrounding area also offers several fantastic golf courses which can be enjoyed against the backdrop of Portrush’s & coastal scenery including the Royal Portrush Golf Club and the Ballyreagh Golf Course. Portrush is also in close proximity to the Giants Causeway – a quite simply remarkable natural geological feature which should not be missed when visiting the north coast of Northern Ireland.
Portrush is also proud to feature 2 very sizeable and simply fantastic beaches; the East and West strand. These long stretches of white sand offer an excellent place for you and your family to enjoy a bit of walking - and during a warm summer evening - the possibility of enjoying some beautiful sunset views. However, times are not always so tranquil on the beach front, as Portrush’s annual music event known as the “Beach Party” is always guaranteed to draw large crowds of party goers with internationally renowned headline dance acts such as Fat Boy Slim, Basement Jaxx and The Chemical Brothers appearing at the event in recent years.
Younger visitors to Portrush will also not want to miss out on the town’s “Lush” nightclub which is situated within Kelly’s complex – said to house the largest collection of bars, pubs and nightclubs in all of Northern Ireland. Another good time to visit the town is during May when visitors can catch a glimpse of the hundreds of participants speeding there way through the North West 200 motor bike race which passes through the town. |
